Captions and Magnets

Today was a great day in 1D. We ventured into the playground for our literacy lesson (armed with clipboards). Each child chose an object to label, they then drew a picture and wrote a caption underneath. It was nice to get some fresh air and learn at the same time!

In the afternoon we looked at magnets. We had lots of different types including bar magnets, horse-shoe magnets and wand magnets. We discovered how they attracted and repeled each other. We also looked at surfaces which they would stick to. Some children were able to carry objects and even open the art rack using magnets.

We also earned our excellence and enjoyment time this week. Well done 1D.

This is the first time I have looked at the blogspot - it's absolutely fabulous - I'm sorry I've not checked it out sooner.

Thank you very much for keeping us informed of the children's day to day activities, Mr Devereux - it's very much appreciated.

Best wishes,
Lucy Davis

This is great!!! I read the information sheet in Aidan's bag but did not think much about it, however, after looking at the site I have changed my mind.
Great way to keep parents informed as the kids seem to forget to tell us everything!!
Thank you Mr Devereux.
