Last week in 1D was great fun. In our literacy lessons, we continued our exploration of traditional tales. Firstly, we looked at the well known story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" and then we examined the lesser known title "Jim and the Beanstalk". Whereas Jack stole from the giant: gold coins, a hen that laid golden eggs and a singing harp, Jim was a very good boy and helped the giant.
He helped the giant see by getting him giant glasses, he helped the giant eat by getting him giant teeth and he helped the giant look handsome by getting him a giant wig.
The book was a very enjoyable read and we all worked together to make a vocabulary bank of words describing the characters in the story.
We also wrote book reviews and created storyboards using the laptops.
Other exciting work included:
- Looking at odd and even numbers and number sequences in Numeracy.
- Learning about Advent in R.E.
- Drawing a map of our school in Geography.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and ready for school tomorrow.

Finally, well done to BrownBear623, BrownBear604, BrownBear625 and BrownBear594 for their Tutpup work this weekend.
